My name is Terrance Laster, Jr, from Ann Arbor, MI. I have been with Unified Stars for five years, with my first year going door-to-door. I was then working security, followed by training in the office, which I am doing now. I've been in the office for the last three years.
I learned how to open up and have a real conversation through Unified Stars. I have learned how to keep my self esteem up and how to maintain a positive mental attitude, while still having fun in life. Being a Unified Star has given me a work ethic I never had before and taught me to grow as a person.

Tiana Jennings
My name is Tiana Jennings. I'm 28 years old and started at 18, which makes 10 years. This business has helped me have direction and I've learned numerous things as a Unified Star. My managers Eugene and Marni Welden coached me throughout the years. I followed the Weldens because they practiced what they preached - every goal they made, they set out to achieve, and I was a living witness to see them accomplish their success. They have done so much for me and my family, and I'm this way because I chose to follow the great leaders.
This business helped me to survive as an independent black woman. It built my character and helped me learn more about myself. Right now, I have three beautiful children surviving with me in this business. I never struggled or lived off the government - I took care of them through selling magazines. I'm working on being a great leader so I can give back to other adults the same thing this business has done for me.

I learned things that I didn't know about myself and discovered potential I never knew I had. This business gave me the opportunity of my life. If it wasn't for Unified Stars, I would still be making $2.35 an hour as a waitress trying my best to take care of my three kids. Needless to say, that life simply was not cutting it. Since being a Unified Star, I have discovered self confidence and learned how to better communicate with people.
Since being in this business, I have learned so much about myself and my personality. I've realized that not all people want to do wrong - there are young adults out there that really want something for themselves, but don't believe it's out there. This business has really brought me out of my shell. I've realized that a closed mind never gets fed and therefore have opened my mind to knowledge and exclusively positive thinking. My name is Torrence Fox and I've been with the Unified Stars since April 1,2004. It's been a great two years for me, and I see many more years to follow. There's always more room to grow.
I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA - home of the Steelers. Things weren't so good there, so I needed a change. There's been a big difference in me since becoming a Unified Star.
Currently, I'm the ad runner/recruiter in this business. I'm excited to be creating opportunities for all the other young adults across the nation who are like me - seeking with the desire to know what's really out there.

My experience in the magazine business has been quite uplifting. I've gotten a chance to see established US landmarks such as the statue of liberty, the Alamo, and the Rocky Mountains.
I have met amazing famous people such as Louis Franklin, Madonna, Chris Canzer, and Frigo Hoibag, but most importantly, I am learning how to run my own business, learning what it takes to be responsible for your own income that's not being minimized or having any kind of limit, because sales is an occupation that can take you anywhere.

My intrapersonal business skills have been significantly developed as a Unified Star. I've become much more patient with people, have learned to communicate in a business manner with others, and have built and festered a teaching mentality and approach that can be used in any situation.
Several personal goals were removed from my list since becoming a part of this company. They are:

Buying some fine jewelry for myself
Purchasing suitable business attire
Travel equipment
